"Try It Studio" is the next generation of BADM’s popular Fab Lab. In this unique new space, your family can Think, Make, Try® Together with oversized elements like a giant music box and digital building blocks that bring math, science, and engineering to life in fun new ways. Learn more about "Try It Studio" here.

"In How Things Work," familiar objects are cut in half to uncover the mystery of their inner workings. Reveal the Extraordinary in the Ordinary and see what makes a car move, where the water goes when a toilet flushes, and more as your family steps into a home that’s like no other! This summer, the museum is partnering with Marin's Youth in Arts for the Summer Dance Series, which takes place on Saturdays and runs through July 24, 2021. There are two chances to attend each 45-minute performance and take each 25-minute workshop each day. All performances and workshops are included with general admission — no additional reservations are required.

Also coming this summer (opening date TBA) is the new Gumnut Grove, where children will experience the wonders of nature as they run, play and climb through three large treehouses nestled in the canopy of Fort Baker's majestic trees. Modelled after gumnuts, Eucalyptus tree seed pods, these unique play structures will spark children's imaginations and provide opportunities for adventurous play and age-appropriate risk taking. This space was specially designed for children 5–10 years old.

Other fun, hands-on exhibits include the new Tot Spot, the BADM Beach, the Mud Kitchen, the Dance Studio, and more. Learn about the museum's exhibits here.
