Farm Day 2017 Comes to the Marin Center Tomorrow, March 16!
Bring the family to the 33rd Annual Marin Farm Day on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 9 am to noon at the Marin County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall in San Rafael. This free event, provides 40–50 hands-on environmental and agricultural activities specifically suited for children ages 3 to 12.
Over 2000 children regularly participate in activities and events including the popular wide selection of farm animals, such as calves, rabbits, lambs, goats horses, pigs, chickens and ponies, as well as Interactive displays on seed planting, nutrition games, spinning and weaving, tasting, gardening and environmental activities and demonstrations.
“Growing in the Sun” will be the theme used by farmers, ranchers, producers, educators and other exhibitors for their displays. The theme is also the subject of the countywide elementary school artwork quilt project, essay and photo contests. The finished quilt and winning photos will be on display at the awards ceremony to be held at 11:00 am.
Farm Day takes place in the Marin County Fair Exhibit Hall, 10 Avenue of the Flags in San Rafael, near the Marin Civic Center. Admission is free; no tickets or reservations needed. For more information, call (415) 382-7846 or visit their website.
