Free Summer Outdoor Concerts in Marin 2026

One of my favorite things about summer in Marin are the free outdoor concerts that take place throughout the county. There's something about the warm weather and the long days that make events like these really special.

Pack a picnic and your folding chairs and check out a free summer concert near you. Here's our list of events taking place this summer. If we've missed your favorite, please let us know.

Corte Madera Free Concerts

• Summer Sunday Concerts at Piccolo Pavilion
  Old Corte Madera Square
  Sundays, 5–6:30 pm, June 14–August 30
  Bring the family to the free outdoor summer concerts at the Old Corte Madera Square. Bring lawn chairs, a blanket and a picnic and enjoy the amazing 2026 line-up of fine local bands including the Walking Mirrors, the Westons, Kanekoa, Boot Juice, Danny Click and Hell Yeahs, and the Corte Madera Town Band. More info

Fairfax Free Concerts

• Summer Concert Series
  Peri Park
  Saturday, June 20, noon–6 pm
  Bring the family for some outdoor live music at the Fairfax summer concert music series features three bands, including Torpedo Wharf, performing in Peri Park under the redwoods. More info.

Larkspur Free Concerts

• Music in the Park
  Piper Park
  Fridays, 6–8 pm, May 22–June 19
  Grab your friends and family and come out and enjoy some live music in beautiful Piper Park on Fridays, 6–8 pm. Drinks and snacks available to purchase. More info

Mill Valley Free Concerts

• Creekside Fridays
  Tam Valley Community Center
  Fridays starting June 19
  Free concerts take place 5–7:30 pm. Make sure to bring a picnic. Location: Tam Valley Community Center, 203 Marin Avenue, Mill Valley. More info

• Concerts on the Plaza
  The Depot Plaza, Downtown Mill Valley
  Date TBA
  Mill Valley's Concerts on the Plaza series present fantastic acts from the Bay Area and beyond in their annual outdoor summer series. Location: The Depot Plaza, 87 Throckmorton Avenue, Mill Valley. More info.

Novato Free Concerts

• Concerts on the Green
  Novato City Green
  Friday, June 5 & 19, July 10 & 17, August 7 & 21, 6–8 pm
  Novato's free summer concert series takes place on Novato City Green, 901 Sherman Avenue (adjacent to Novato City Hall). The 2026 lineup features Git With It, Anthony Arya, the Fell Swoop, Big Blu Soul Quartet, and the Sean Carscadden Trio. More info

• Rock the Block
  Downtown Novato
  Dates TBA
  Kick off summer in June and say goodbye in August with this street party in downtown Novato. More info

• Hot Amphitheater Nights
  Hamilton Amphitheater
  Saturday, June 27, July 25 & August 39, 5–7 pm
  Join Novato Parks, Recreation & Community Services for their 2025 Hot Amphitheater Nights series on select Saturdays. Performers include Maya Latin Tribute Band, Top Shelf Classics, and Club 90. More info

San Anselmo Free Concerts

  Creek Park
  Fridays & Saturdays June 20–September 12
  Live music returns to downtown San Anselmo at Creek Park and Town Hall Plaza as part of Live on the Avenue, Fridays and Saturdays beginning in June. More info.

San Rafael Concerts

• Music in the Park
  Marinwood Community Center
  Fridays, June 26, July 10, August 7 & 21, 6–8 pm
  Live music, food and fun the whole family will enjoy. Each concert will feature high quality music from some of the Bay Area's top rock, bluegrass and folk artists, delicious BBQ by Marinwood Market and a bar for adults. Don't forget the picnic blanket! More info.

Sausalito Free Concerts

• Jazz & Blues by the Bay
  Gabrielsen Park
  Fridays, June 5–September 25, 6:30–8 pm (6–7:30 pm in September)
  The City of Sausalito Park and Recreation Department presents Jazz and Blues by the Bay in Gabrielson Park. The entire lawn will be available for lawn seating so bring a (low) chair, some friends and come enjoy the music!! The 2026 lineup includes the Beau Beau Band, Spike Sikes and His Awesome Hotcakes, Juke Joint, James Henry Hands on Fire, West Coast Blues Society, and more. Two extra shows have been added for 2026! More info

Tiburon & Belvedere Free Concerts

San Francisco Free Concerts

• Stern Grove Festival
  Sigmund Stern Grove, San Francisco
  Sundays, June 14–August 16, 2 pm
  This popular, admission-free concert series in a beautiful outdoor amphitheater is still totally free but advance reservations via lottery are required. Enjoy performances by Japanese Breakfast, Violent Femmes, Public Enemy, Al Green, Major Lazer, and Patti Labelle. More info

• Golden Gate Bandshell Concerts
  Golden Gate Park, San Francisco
  Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays & Select Saturdays
  The Illuminate LIVE concert series at the historic Golden Gate Bandshell in Golden Gate Park takes place from March through November and features a variety of artists. All-ages concerts feature R&B, soul, jazz, funk, big band musicians, string ensembles, indie and psychedelic rock bands, singer-songwriters, reggae, salsa, and more. More info
