The Mountain Play, Marin and the San Francisco Bay Area’s amazing and time-honored outdoor theatre experience, presents their annual fall fundraising gala, Rock, Roll & Broadway—a Musical Celebration to Benefit the 2019 Mountain Play Production of Grease. It takes place Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 5:30–10:30 pm at the Osher Marin JCC's Hoytt Theater.
Guests will enjoy a champagne and wine reception, cocktail supper buffet, silent and live auctions, followed by a spectacular musical revue directed by Eileen Grady with musical direction by Carl Oser. The revue features over 20 Bay Area artists and Mountain Play stars, including Susan Zelinsky, Brigid O’Brien, Tyler McKenna, Buzz Halsing, Lexie Papedo, Matt Kizer, and many others who will take the audience on a musical journey through the songs of Broadway and beyond. The evening will also feature director Jay Manley who will share his vision for the 2019 season. This hugely popular event always sells out so order your tickets soon!
The celebration will have music, fine wines and delicious cuisine from Debbie Ghiringhelli Catering and appetizers and sweets from Bay Area favorites like Brioche Pasquier, Foodniks, San Rafael Joe’s, Dianda’s Italian American Pastry, and Sweet E. The silent and live auction items feature donations from local businesses, and restaurants, and caterers donating delectable food and local wines.
The annual fall benefit kicks off the production season, helping raise much-needed funds to begin work on the spring 2019 production of Grease. It takes a village to create professional and extraordinary theatre - it takes a village and a Gala to put it on the side of a mountain.
Tickets cost $100 for general admission and $150 VIP which includes reserved seating. For more information visit www.mountainplay.org or call (415) 383-1100.
