Hanukkah Events & Celebrations in Marin
This year, Hanukkah begins on the evening of Sunday, December 2, and ends Monday, December 10. Festival of Lights at the Osher Marin JCC
Sunday, December 2, 11:30 am–2 pm
The Osher Marin JCC celebrates Hanukkah early with their Festival of Lights on Sunday, December 2! This fun and free family party features live music, a glow in the dark dance party, delicious food, an artisan marketplace, LEGO dreidel making, a bounce house, cookie decorating, face painting, and more. Chabad of Novato Hannukah Events
Chabad of Novato hosts a variety of fun and family-friendly Hannukah events, including a hands-on menorah building workshop at Home Depot in San Rafael, a skating party, and a Grand Menorah Lighting at Whole Foods Market in Novato. Home Depot Menorah Workshop

Grand Chalk Menorah Lighting
Sunday, December 2, 5 pm

Bill Graham Menorah at Union Square
The Bill Graham Menorah lights up San Francisco's Union Square, with lighting ceremonies starting December 2 at 4:30 pm. The first ceremony features David and Alex Graham, Perry Farrell, local dignitaries, and long-time Bill Graham colleagues, as well as musical performances by Jerry’s Kosher Deli plus very special guests. Ghirardelli Square will celebrate Hanukkah on Thursday, December 14 from 4 to 7 pm in the Upper Plaza and Fountain Plaza with free children’s activities, music, and lighting of the menorah by Rabbi Peretz Mochkin. Chanukah at Rodef Sholom
Friday, December 7, 4:30–6:15 pm
Rodef Sholom in San Rafael will celebrate with a Junior Jews Chanukah Pajama Party, for toddlers through kindergarteners, from 4:30–5:30 pm. Little ones can come in their PJs and light candles together, sing songs, hear stories, and have a snack.
