Help the Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra Kick Off Its Summer Tour with a Free Concert
This Wednesday, June 19, 2019, come say "bon voyage" the the Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra at their free Summer Tour Kick-Off Concert at the Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium in San Rafael. The more than 80 members of the Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra are preparing for their first tour in 20 years! The day after the concert, they will embark on a tour of Central Europe, where they'll visit and perform in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest.
They will perform a concert in each city, where they'll represent Marin County on a global scale and enjoy unparalleled educational and cultural experiences. This free Family-Friendly Kick-Off Concert features their tour repertoire, including works by Brahms, Bizet, and Gershwin, and will inspire young musicians and give us all a sense of community pride.
This family-friendly Kick-Off Concert takes place from 6 to 7:30 pm and feature the symphony's tour repertoire, including Gershwin's classic An American in Paris. Admission is free and seating in the auditorium is open. The Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium is located at 10 Avenue of the Flags in San Rafael near the Marin Civic Center.
