Join the Book Brigade and Celebrate the Opening of the New Larkspur Library

The new Larkspur Library opens this Saturday, March 28, and you can participate in the Book Brigade — helping to move a symbolic selection of books from the old library at 400 Magnolia Avenue to the new library in the Commons at Doherty Drive and Rose Lane!
Book Brigade participants will pass books hand-over-hand through downtown Larkspur from the old library to the new. The brigade will take place prior to the City of Larkspur’s Library Grand Opening on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 10:30 am. 800 participants and volunteers are needed, so sign up today!
Adults and children over 7 are welcome to volunteer and participate in the brigade. Please leave dogs at home during the book brigade. Parking will be very limited throughout Larkspur on March 28, so consider walking, riding a bike, taking public transportation, ride-sharing, or carpooling that day.
