Marin Weekend Family Fun for April 12–14

- Experience giant bugs, water activities, and special programs at Spring in the Garden at the California Academy of Sciences, Friday & Saturday, 9:30 am–5 pm & Sunday, 11 am–5 pm.
- Catch a screening of Disney's Moana at the Lark Theater in Larkspur, Saturday,10am & Sunday, 3 pm.
- Celebrate Japanese American culture at the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco's Japantown, Saturday & Sunday, 11 am–5 pm. The Grand Parade starts Sunday at 1 pm and goes from Post and Buchanan Streets to the San Francisco Civic Center.
- See the movie Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey at the Walt Disney Family Museum in the Presidio, Saturday & Sunday, 2 pm
- Take a wildflower hike with the kiddos in Marin and marvel at the bounty of colorful spring blooms!
Friday, April 12
- Sing and stomp with with musician Emily Bonn at the Town Plaza in San Anselmo, Friday, 10:30 am–11 am.
- Celebrate 75 years of the Bookmobile with books, games, giveaways, and more at the Marin City Library, Friday, 3–5 pm.
Saturday, April 13

- Explore electricity, chemistry, and engineering with teen volunteers from the STEMfinity project at Corte Madera Library, Saturday, 10–11:30 am.
- Celebrate the opening of the new inclusive playground at Pioneer Park in Novato at a ribbon cutting ceremony, Saturday, 11 am.
- Build a wooden birdhouse at Goodie’s Kids Club April Workshop, free for 12 and under (registration required), Saturday, 12:30–2 pm.
- Design, build, and stomp a cardboard city at Kaiju Day at Marin City Library, Saturday, 12:30–2:30 pm.

- Learn about newts and other pond critters at the UC Botanical Garden in Berkeley, Sunday, noon–3 pm.
