All Weekend
- Dive in and cool off a the McNears Beach pool in San Rafael, Friday–Sunday, 10 am–6 pm.
- Have a "Bug-Tastic!" time at the 2025 Marin County Fair, Friday–Sunday, 11 am–11 pm.
- The Marin County Fair's fireworks show takes place nightly during the fair, Friday–Sunday, 9:30 pm.
- Sail over to Angel Island for WWII living history days plus live music and cannon firings, Saturday & Sunday, 10 am–4 pm.
- Cut your own lavender and explore the labyrinth and gardens at Bees N Blooms Farm in Santa Rosa, Saturday & Sunday, 10 am–4 pm.
- Splash and play at the water park at Spring Lake Regional Park in Santa Rosa, Saturday & Sunday, 11:30 am–6:30 pm.
- Marin Shakespeare presents A Midsummer Night's Dream at Forest Meadows Amphitheater in San Rafael, Saturday, 7:30 pm & Sunday, 5 pm.
Friday, July 4
- The Woodacre firefighters' pancake breakfast ($10 adults, $5 kids, cash only) features a bounce house, fire engine rides, kids' activities, and more, Friday, 7–11 am.
- The Bolinas 4th of July celebration returns with a parade, BBQ, Bolinas vs. Stinson Beach tug-of-war, beach games, and music, Friday, 8 am–5 pm.
- Celebrate the 4th in Sausalito with a parade and picnic from 10 am–4 pm and an evening party and fireworks spectacular from 6:30–9:30 pm.
- Sonoma's Hometown 4th of July celebration begins Friday with a parade and festival on the Plaza from 10 am–5 pm followed by fireworks at dusk.
- The Corte Madera-Larkspur 4th of July Parade and Festival is one of the biggest 4th of July events in Marin, Friday, 10:30 am.
- Novato’s 4th of July Parade features entries ranging from classic cars and vintage military vehicles to Irish bagpipers and a Chinese drum and bell corps, Friday, 10 am–noon.
- The Homestead Valley 4th of July Parade starts Friday at 11 am at Volunteer Park in Mill Valley and is followed by a picnic in Stolte Grove.
- The town of Ross celebrates the 4th of July at its annual parade and picnic on the Ross Common, Friday, 11 am–2:30 pm.
- Woodacre's Fourth of July parade starts at noon at the Woodacre Improvement Club, followed by a Country Fun Day at Dickson Ranch.
- Santa Rosa Symphony and Transcendence Theater Company perform at the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at Green Music Center in Rohnert Park, Friday, 7:30 pm (Kids' Zone opens 4:30 pm).
- The 4th of July fireworks spectacular at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View features the San Francisco Symphony and ukulele virtuoso Taimane, Friday, 8 pm.
- Petaluma's 4th of July high-elevation fireworks show, visible from many locations in Petaluma, begins Friday around 9:30 pm.
The Marin County Fair takes place through Sunday at the fairgrounds in San Rafael.
Saturday, July 5
- Pick your own organic raspberries at Boring Farm in Sebastopol, Saturday, 9 am–1 pm (reservations required).
- Bring the family to the Marin Country Mart Farmers’ Market and enjoy complimentary children's programming and live music while you shop, Saturday, 9 am–2 pm.
- Learn about Cold War history from veterans of the Nike program at the Nike Missile Site in the Marin Headlands, Saturday, noon–3 pm.
- Visit downtown San Anselmo for live music from Live on the Avenue, Saturday, 6:30–8:30 pm.
- Explore the solar system at a free public star party at Presidio Tunnel Tops in San Francisco, Saturday, 8:45–11:45 pm.
Sunday, July 6
- Shop for organically grown produce and more at the Sunday Marin Farmer's Market at Northgate Mall (this Sunday only) in San Rafael, Sunday, 8 am–1 pm.
- Explore the World War II-era Battery Townsley in the Marin Headlands at its monthly open house, Sunday, noon–4 pm.
- Pardon the Interruption performs a free concert at Corte Madera's Piccolo Pavilion, Sunday, 5–6:30 pm.
