Friday, October 19

Movies at the Bay Model is back with American Graffiti & Cars starting at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Bring the family, eat some popcorn and have the kids wear their pjs. Refreshments will be sold at the concession stand. The adult movie will be showing American Graffiti and kid’s movie will be showing Cars (chaperones are present in the Kids’ theatre). Saturday, October 20

"Ahoy There Matey" Tis time to party like a Pirate! The historic Falkirk Mansion is having a Pirate Party for kids 5 and up on Saturday from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Come for some swashbuckling fun, grub and kiddie spirits. The cost is $20 a person. Advance reservations required at (415) 485-3333. Dance the day away with Baby Loves Disco, on Saturday from 2–5 pm. Once a month, SF nightclub Ruby Skye is transformed into a child-proof disco as toddlers, preschoolers and parents looking to let loose convene for some post naptime, pre-dinner fun. Come to the Goblin Jamboree at the Bay Area Discovery Museum this Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Wear your costume and explore the Bay Area Discovery Museum! The museum will be transformed into a haunted wonderland, with games, activities, and live entertainment, as well as a petting zoo and pony rides. This fundraiser supports museum education programs, exhibitions, and community access initiatives. Tickets available at the door. BADM Members $12, general $14, children under 1 free. Bring the family to the Halloween Graveyard Stroll, a nature walk led by Chief Ranger Brian Sanford, will be taking place on Saturday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Lucas Valley Field Office in San Rafael. Get off your throne and come see who is prone! The evening jaunt around one of Marin's secret old graveyards promises to be educational, fun, and maybe a little scary! This walk will get you prepared for Halloween by looking back into the lives of a few Marin residents and by learning about "creatures" that inhabit the graveyard, both dead and alive! If you are brave enough, bring warm clothes, a friend to hold, and your courage. Family friendly. Meet at the Field Office at 18 Jeannette Prandi Way, off Lucas Valley Road in San Rafael. Climb aboard and visit the cockpits of historic aircraft at Santa Rosa’s Pacific Coast Air Museum, on Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Aircraft include an F-106 Delta Dart interceptor, a UH-1H Huey helicopter, an AV-8 Harrier, and an HU-16 Albatross. Also, meet pilots from each branch of the military. Bring the family to the Marin Waldorf School Children's Faire on Sunday, October 21 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be magical games, crafts, puppets, storytelling, organic delights, vendors and more. For ages 3-10 years and admission is free. There will be a free shuttle from Hwy 101 park and ride at Lucas Valley/Smith Ranch Road exit. Marin Walldorf School is located at 755 Idylberry Road in San Rafael. Tim Cain performs on Sunday October 21 at 11 a.m. at  Lafranchi Pumpkin Patch at  Nicasio Valley Farms. Pumpkin picking, hay rides, farm animals, jumpy houses, farm stand, BBQ on the weekends.
