Free Event at Book Passage

Join us at one of our beloved Marin independent bookstores, Book Passage, for a dynamic talk by Rona Renner, RN, a Parents Place educator, host of the popular Childhood Matters radio show, and now the author of Is That Me Yelling? Rona will talk about her new book, which offers you gentle yet effective approaches to encouraging positive behaviors in your children... without your ever having to raise your voice! Positive and Effective Discipline: A Crash Course (parents of children 3–5 years)

Starting with a basic understanding of developmental norms for 3- to 5-year-olds, we will break down the components of discipline-communication, listening, modeling, consequences, and more-to learn about improving limit-setting, encouraging responsibility, and fostering communication.
