We have been at Ross for several years, and we decided that there was a definite decline in the attention to our daughter, so we decided to take action and reenroll our girl in another school for the Fall. We asked for our refund back because Ross Academy Montessori School found another child to take her place, but they still kept our money to secure our place for the coming year.
I have heard that Ross is notorious for keeping deposits from other parents with kids at Ross, but everyone we have talked to, including other school admissions folks, agree that if the spot is filled, the parents should get their deposit back.
What are your thoughts? Fair to keep or best to refund?
No, it doesn't seem fair that they keep your deposit, especially if they find another child to fill their spot. I know that a lot of preschools do keep the money. I guess you could write a letter to the school in hopes of getting your deposit back.

Hi-

Best of luck!
