Sailing Summer Camp in Sausalito
Marin Mommies presents a sponsored shout-out from Call of the Sea.
Call of the Sea’s summer camp is for ages 8–13, a week of adventuring on boats large and small. Campers sail on the 82-foot schooner Seaward, the 132-foor brigantine Matthew Turner, and 12-foot Pelican sailing dinghies. Their playground is San Francisco Bay and the grounds of the Bay Model Visitor Center in Sausalito. A day’s activities may include: sailing, making model boats or flags, studying science by observing marine life, seeing whales, seals and harbor porpoises, beach time and fun games. With a ratio of one counselor to 8 campers, and additional sailing crew, campers receive high quality, personal attention.
