  • Irish Tunes with John Pedersen
    San Anselmo Library
    Thursday, March 14, noon–1 pm

    Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with Irish banjo and fiddle tunes by John Pedersen of Amazing Grace Music who will whisk you away to the land of shamrocks and leprechauns. Everyone is welcome to attend. Location: 110 Tunstead Avenue, San Anselmo. Event details
  • Dublin St. Patrick's Day Celebration
    Dublin Civic Center
    Saturday, March 16, 10 am–7 pm & Sunday, March 17, 10 am–5 pm

    The City of Dublin, California, goes all out for St. Patrick’s Day. Their two-day St. Patrick’s Day Festival at the Dublin Civic Center is one of the biggest on the West Coast, drawing as many as 80,000 people to enjoy Irish entertainment; authentic Irish foods and beverages, as well as popular festival favorites; shopping at 200+ vendors booths; even a pop-up Irish tea cottage. Alameda County Firefighters Local 55 hosts an annual pancake breakfast on Saturday morning, followed by the Dublin Lions Club Parade. Sunday morning is the annual Shamrock 5K Fun Run and Walk.   • How to Catch a Leprechaun Storytime

    You've been planning night and day, and finally you've created the perfect trap, but leprechauns are quick and sneakier than you may think. Will you ever catch one?   • Fairfax Brewfest & St. Patrick's Day Party
    Fairfax Pavilion
    Saturday, March 16, 1–5 pm

    Fairfax’s Annual Rite Of Spring! Enjoy an afternoon of unlimited tastings of California and Northwest brews, lively Irish music, and delicious food including corned beef sandwiches (in honor of St. Patrick), featuring 24 breweries and brewmasters presenting over 70 of their most popular beers and their newest concoctions. Benefits the Fairfax Chamber Of Commerce. Tickets: $15–$60. Kids welcome if accompanied by an adult. Event details

  • "The Afters" Corned Beef Dinner
    United Irish Cultural Center, San Francisco

  • St. Patrick's Day 5K
    Crissy Field, San Francisco
    Sunday, March 17, 8 am

    Flat, fast out and back course along Crissy Field to Fort Point and return.  Start and finish at Little Marina Green/Yacht Harbor Road.Race day registration/check-in begins at 8 am and the race starts at 9 am. Free half-mile Kids' Race for children ages 12 and under. For children ages 12 and under who wish to run in the 5K race, please register them on race day as there is no entry fee for this age group.     Get your jig on and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the greenest place in the Bay Area! Follow along the self-guided tour to find lucky shamrocks featuring fun facts about our animals and get a history lesson on the Irish in our animals! Guests can get their Irish on and come wearing green! Enjoy live music and Irish entertainment as well as traditional Irish adult beverages (non-alcoholic also available) at the Shamrock Bar from 10 am to 1 pm near the Lemur Café.   • Flying Leprechaun Skydive!
    Hiller Aviation Museum, San Carlos

    The Luck o’ the Irish meets the Hiller Aviation Museum for a special aerial celebration in honor of St. Patrick himself! Join the morning festivities, including free face painting and a jump house. At 11 am watch a bit of Leprechaun magic and aeronautical skill as the Museum’s own Leprechaun leaps from a helicopter high overhead and descends to San Carlos Airport via parachute.     You're invited to the St. Patrick's Day Dog Parade at Patrick's Park - the largest annual event at Patrick's Park! Picnic at the park and celebrate St. Patrick's Day with these party animals. This event gives 100% of the proceeds to Rocket Dog Rescue, an all volunteer-run organization based in San Francisco that saves dogs. Event details

    Celebrate Shamrock Day with special activities like a hunt for hidden gold! Fill the pot at the end of a rainbow. Hear storytelling of Irish folktales, and more. In Habitot’s Art Studio visitors will decorate leprechaun spyglasses that make the whole world look green and play with green gak. Be sure to wear green if you don't want to get pinched.
