Add nature to your child’s week in 2026! — Tree Urchins nature enrichment for preschoolers and early elementary students! The program is designed as a rich supplement to indoor-based learning. Tree Urchins gets young children out into nature, exploring the trails and open spaces of Marin County. Natural sites reveal wonders that spark and engage the natural curiosity of young children.
On the trails we find the perfect playground to promote the big body movement our kiddos need. The children build resilience and trust on our journeys, and have so much fun adventuring that they barely notice the challenge! We visit popular sites like San Quentin Beach, Blackie’s Pasture, Ring Mountain, Baltimore Canyon, Cascade Canyon, Roy’s Redwoods, Alto Bowl, Miller Grove, Phoenix Lake, and Sky Ranch.
Tree Urchins has openings most weekday mornings, and extended days on Mondays and Tuesdays. Base cost is $300/month for a child's single day enrollment (e.g, every Thursday morning of January)
