15 Fun Things to Do This Spring with Kids 5 and Under

Keep the little ones busy this spring! We've put together a list of 15 terrific spring activities and outings in Marin and the San Francisco Bay Area specially selected for families with kids 5 and under. From singing with the animals to taking a toddler museum tour, there's something here for everyone. Some of these events require fees and reservations; check their websites for more info.

1. Take a train ride, meet the animals, and enjoy the rides at Sonoma TrainTown.
2. Free: Sing and dance with kid's entertainer, Megan Schoenbohm at the Marin Country Mart Farmers Market, Saturday, March 14, April 11, & May 9, 9:30–10:30am.
3. Celebrate the Easter season at Lemos Farm with Easter egg hunts, train and hay rides, and petting zoo, March 21–April 5. 
4. Get tickets for the Teddy Bear Tea with treats, crafts, and story time, Saturday, March 21, 10 am, 11:30 am & 1 pm.
5. Free: The Mill Valley Spring Faire features a toddler zone, activities, and more, Saturday, March 21, 10 am–1 pm.
6. Have breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Tilden Park Merry Go Round in Berkeley, Saturday, March 21, 29 & April 5.
7. Free: Visit the animals at Farm Day, Marin Center, San Rafael, Thursday, March 26, 10 am–12 pm.
8. Sing along with Farmer Arann and meet the lambs at Windrush Farm in Petaluma, dates TBA (mid-March when lambs are born).
9. Get creative at Bay Area Discovery Museum's Big Art Weekend, Saturday & Sunday, March 28 & 29.
10. Meet the animals, visit the Children's Zoo, and go on a train ride through the Outback at the Oakland Zoo.
11. Join in on the spring fun at Bunny Weekend at Children's Fairyland in Oakland, Saturday & Sunday, April 4 & 5.
12. Free: Head to Sausalito for an Easter parade, egg hunt, live music and bonnet contest, Saturday, April 4, 10 am.
13. Experience life on the farm at Slide Ranch's Spring Fling on Saturday, April 25, Muir Beach.
14. Free: Join WildCare for their annual Family Nature Day at Richardson Bay Audubon in Tiburon, Saturday, May 2, 10 am–2 pm.
15. Free: Meet baby animals and explore Sonoma's farms at Blossoms, Bees and Barnyard Babies spring farm tour, Saturday & Sunday, May 2 & 3.
