Big Art Weekend at Bay Area Discovery Museum, Sausalito

On Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, head to the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito to step into a canvas of imagination at Big Art Weekend! Immerse yourself in art and discover opportunities to get creative around every corner! All activities included in admission. Advance tickets are required and are on sale now — admission is free and advance tickets are not required for Bay Area Discovery Museum members.

Big Art Weekend programs include:

  • The Painter’s Place: Paint everything in sight at this community art gallery.
  • Rainbow Kitchen: Become a chef and mixologist by mixing pigments with mud to create colorful feasts in the outdoor mud kitchen.
  • Tissue Paper Tie-Dye: Design your own tapestry by dying fabric with tissue paper.
  • Tats by Tots: Who says kids can't run a tattoo parlor? Dream up your design and tattoo yourself or willing family member. Don't worry, these tattoos are washable!
  • Live music and more special programs for the whole family to enjoy! 

Big Art Weekend hours are 10 am to 4 pm, with a member-only hour from 9 to 10 am. The Bay Area Discovery Museum is located at 557 McReynolds Road in Sausalito, at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge. Learn more about Big Art Weekend and other museum events and programs at bayareadiscoverymuseum.org.
