Celebrate Your Child's Birthday at the California Academy of Sciences
Does your child dream of having his or her birthday party in the midst of fascinating nature exhibits and 38,000 live animals? You're in luck, because the California Academy of Sciences, Northern California's premier natural history museum, now offers children’s birthday parties on Saturdays and Sundays! Your party of up to 40 guests can enjoy a private group tour of the Academy, interactive activities, birthday cupcakes, and more in a private party space that's yours to enjoy for two hours. It's guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience for your birthday child.
Each birthday party begins with snacks (and coffee for the grownups) from the Academy's acclaimed Moss Room restaurant in a private lounge decorated with festive environmentally-friendly party decorations. Next, an expert tour guide takes your group on a half-hour tour
through the Academy’s iconic natural history exhibits, as well as behind the scenes, sharing little-known facts and fun insights along the way. After the tour, partygoers gather for cupcakes, milk, and juice, and then explore craft tables and a play area stocked with nature- and science-themed activities and toys; both will be available for the duration of the party.
Children’s birthday parties also include general admission to the Academy for the children in attendance, VIP access to the four-story Rainforests of the World exhibit after the party, e-invitations, and a special gift for the birthday boy or girl. Your Academy birthday party also comes with a dedicated party coordinator, so parents can feel free to relax and enjoy themselves, too. Party favors and other special add-ons are also available.
Birthday parties at the California Academy of Sciences held on Saturdays and Sundays only from 10 am to noon. Parties are for a minimum of 10 and maximum of 20 children, with adult chaperones (one for every five kids), for a total of up to 40 people. Cost is $75 per child.
