Cucu's PlayHouse: Marin's Newest Spot for Music and Play!

If you read our last article about Cucu's PlayHouse, you already know that it is the newest music and movement class in Marin. Their program has an emphasis on exposing children to the Spanish language and to core values through music and play. Most of the toys they use for their musical activities and games are European wooden toys that encourage open play, creativity, and imagination.

Cucu's PlayHouse opened its doors just over a week ago, and has been welcoming babies, toddlers, and preschoolers with their parents for fun and educational music classes in Spanish. We covered their opening on March 2, and would like to tell you about a few updates in their schedule.

Schedule Updates

Cucu's PlayHouse is now offering mixed-age classes every afternoon, in addition to their Saturday classes. Here is their updated schedule:

Baby Classes - 3 - 12 months old

• Mondays at 10:30 am - Music, movement and play
• Wednesdays at 11:00 am - Story time with music and play

Toddler Classes - 1 - 3 years old

• Tuesdays at 10:30 am - Music, movement and play
• Thursdays 11:00 am - Story time with music and play

Mixed Age Classes - 3 months - 5 years

• Mondays at 3:30 pm - Music, movement and play
• Tuesdays at 4:00 pm - Music, movement and play
• Wednesdays 3:30 pm - Story time with music and play
• Thursdays at 3:00 pm - Story time with music and play
• Saturdays at 11:00 am - Music, movement and play
• Saturdays at 3:00 pm - Story time with music and play

Class Pricing

The price for drop-in classes is $24. You can also purchase a six-class pack for $115, which represents a 20% savings compared to the drop-in registration. They also offer a free class for new children.

Who Are These Classes For?

These classes are ideal for parents who would like to introduce their children to bilingualism. According to recent studies, the ideal age to start exposing them to a second language is between 0 and 3 years of age. Doing so, stimulates their brain development and has numerous cognitive, social and cultural long term benefits.

Cucu's PlayHouse program is also beneficial for parents who's first language is Spanish and would like to engage their children in educational activities taught in their first language.
