Fall Family Fun Runs in Marin and the Bay Area

Work up an appetite for Thanksgiving dinner at the Marin Turkey Trot on November 28.

Running is a fantastic way for the whole family to get outside, get fit together, and enjoy the beauty of the Bay Area. Families have plenty of opportunities to race together in Marin and the San Francisco Bay Area this fall, from family fun runs and walks to cross-country half-marathons! There's something for every fitness and experience level.


10th Annual San Francisco Giant Race

2019 will be a year-long celebration of 10 years of Giant Racing in San Francisco. Giant Racers will get to wear the commemorative 10th anniversary logo on race apparel, and the Oracle Park area will host several special event celebrations during this historic year. We are excited to pay homage to the racers, partners and spectators who have joined us throughout the 10 historic years of the San Francisco Giant Race presented by Alaska Airlines! We’ll be adding more opportunities to celebrate throughout 2019. Clo-Cow Half Marathon

Downtown Petaluma

The 9th running of the Clo-Cow Half Marathon & 5K takes place in historic Downtown Petaluma. This beautiful half-marathon course takes you through rural Sonoma County farm country, over rolling hills where you'll be cheered on by sheep, horses, and of course cows! Marin Moonlight Run 5K and 10K

Hamilton Landing, Novato

Bring the entire family for a beautiful Indian summer evening race under the full moon along the trails of the San Francisco Bay in Marin County. A significant portion of the proceeds will benefit the Novato Parks, Recreation and Community Services Youth Financial Assistance Programs. You bring the flashlights or headlamps and we will provide the glow sticks and post-race goodies. We encourage families of all ages to join us for this community run that is a unique Friday night adventure weaving through the sights and sounds of two wonderful marshes. San Francisco Aloha Run

We are excited to host another  Fun Run/Walk and 5K race for the Miller Creek School District children, families, teachers, staff and the entire San Rafael community and beyond. All finishers receive a t-shirt and post race refreshments.  All proceeds from the race go to the Can Do! Education Foundation to fund vital programs for the Dixie School District that may not otherwise be available. Candlestick Point 5K

Candlestick Point Recreation Area, San Francisco

Flat, paved loop around Candlestick Point Recreation Area with great views of San Francisco Bay and the East Bay hills. Free parking and easy access from Highway 101. Race day registration also available, beginning at 8 am. Children ages 10 & under can run the race for free, so please sign them up on race day morning. The Mermaid Run 5K and 10K

2019 St. Helena Harvest Festival

Downtown St. Helena
Come experience the wine country through the eyes of a local runner or walker. You will run through “the heart” of Napa Valley and meander around the in-town vineyards of St. Helena. There will be a 1 mile fun run for kids of all ages. The 5k is a flat and fast course with vineyard views along the way.  The 10K course will be two laps of the 5K.
