Keep the kiddos busy! Here's out list of fun things to do with the kids for the week of September 7–12. We've broken it down day-by-day with suggestions for activities, outings, events, and more that you can use to help plan out your week.
Keep in mind that some of these activities require advance registration, so check the organizer's website before you attend. If you have something fun you'd like to share, please let us know and we'll consider it for next week's list!
Tuesday, September 7
- Have a picnic and then visit the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park for free on the first Tuesday of the month.
- Show off your favorite Hogwarts House with this awesome rock painting tutorial.
- Fresh-baked apple walnut bread is an easy-to-make, delicious treat at any time of year.
Wednesday, September 8
- Explore and hike at Rush Creek Open Space Preserve in Novato.
- Reserve your spot for Power Play indoor gymnastics (for ages 1–2 years) at Cal Star Gymnastics in Novato. 9:30–10:30 am
- Bring your egg shakers and instruments to jam along wirth children's entertainer Megan Schoenbohm at the Civic Center in San Rafael (next to the playground), 10:30–11 am.
- Bring a blanket and join Mill Valley Librarian Lauren for outdoor storytime and songs, Wednesdays, 10:15 am, Amphitheater stage behind the Library.
Play, climb and explore San Anselmo's Memorial Park
Thursday, September 9
- Get fresh produce at this Thursday's Marin Farmers Market in San Rafael, 8 am–1 pm.
- Mother Goose with Iris online offers rhymes, songs, and stories for preschool and toddlers, presented by Marin County Library.

Friday, September 10
- Bring the kiddos for outdoor family storytime with books, songs and movement this Friday from 10–11 am, Fairfax Library.
- Sing along children's entertainer Megan Schoenbohm at Corte Madera Town Park, 10:30 am.
- Visit Marin Country Mart in Larkspur for Movie Nights at the Mart: Monsters, Inc., 6 pm.
- Enjoy free Opera in the Ballpark at Oracle Park in San Francisco; doors open at 5:30 pm, opera starts at 7 pm.
- The Lark Drive-in presents Disney Pixar's Inside Out at the Village in Corte Madera. 8 pm.

Saturday, September 11

Come and enjoy a Giant bubble show by Sterling the Bubble Smith at The Happy Dahlia Farm, Petaluma. Saturday, 11am–noon. Free admission.
- Mill Valley's Concerts in the Plaza present a full-day lineup of music this Saturday and Sunday from 11 am–6 :30 pm
- The 2021 Sound Summit features great music and raises funds for Mt. Tamalpais State Park. 11 am–7 pm
- Charity and the JAMband and the Silly Circus Show headline the free Kids' Music Festival at the Golden Gate Park Bandshell, noon–4 pm
- Learn how to draw Peanuts characters at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa. 1–3 pm
- Come to Novato's Civic Green for a free outdoor screening of Toy Story 4. Movie starts approximately 6:45 pm
Sunday, September 12
- Search for treasures at the Outdoor Antiques French Market at Marin Center, 9 am–3 pm
- Picnic and explore Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma.
