Get Ready for the Goblin Jamboree at the Bay Area Discovery Museum

The Bay Area Discovery Museum's annual Goblin Jamboree fundraiser, the longest running Halloween festival in Marin, returns for 2020! This year, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Goblin Jamboree has been reimagined as a week-long festival taking place October 24 through 31, 2020. Advance tickets will be required for one of two daily, 2.5-hour time slots. During this year's festival, the museum will have reduced capacities to limit crowds and attractions and programs have been created with social distancing (and of course spooky fun!) in mind.

This year's fun, socially-distanced programs include a gourd patch, hay mountain, Monster Mash-up DJ dance party, skeleton painting, cave painting, the Haunted Sticker Village, and more!  This event is the perfect Halloween party for kids ages 6 months to 10 years. Costumes are encouraged, but note that Halloween costume masks are not an acceptable replacement for county-approved face coverings. Groups of more than 6 people will not be permitted due to state guidelines.

Proceeds from Goblin Jamboree support the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s mission to transform research into early learning experiences that inspire creative problem solving. Admission is $19.95 for Bay Area Discovery Museum members, $24.95 for the general public, and free for infants under six months.

Due to limited capacities, tickets must be reserved in advance. Two time slots are available each day: 9–11:30 am or noon–2:30 pm (11 am–1:30 pm or noon–2:30 pm on Saturday, October 24).

You can gain early access to the Goblin Jamboree by attending the Sponsor Breakfast on Saturday, October 24 from 8–10:30 am, before the general public arrives. All Sponsor Breakfast packages include two-and-a-half hours of Halloween themed activities, socially-distanced programs, and catered boxed snacks and coffee service. Prices start at $275 for a family of four; additional attendees $60 each. Tickets often sell out, so reserve your spot now if you’re interested.
