Help Marin's Mazie Girls End Hunger!
We love it when our local youth do something inspiring and amazing, so we were thrilled to see the tote bag project from Marin's Mazie Girls.
Mazie Girls is a group of three local middle school girls who are determined to help make a difference in our community by raising money for a worthy cause, in this case the SF-Marin Food Bank. They're designing and printing limited-edition tote bags featuring their original artwork that they'll sell at farmers markets throughout the San Francisco Bay Area for five weeks this August and September.
Mazie Girls—Audrey, Sophie, and Elizabeth—have partnered with the SF-Marin Food Bank to create high quality tote bags with their creative and colorful designs. They're perfect for taking to the grocery store or farmers market and all proceeds will be given to the Food Bank to help local families in need. You'll also help reduce plastic bag waste, too.
Right now, for every $20 sold, $11 will be donated to the Food Bank. The more bags they sell, the lower the cost of production will be and the more money donated to the food bank!
You can help these enterprising young women by contributing to their Go Fund Me campaign, which they're using to finance their first print run. They're currently a little over $2,000 toward their $5,000 goal, so help them out if you can to get their project off the ground!
