Join Your Local Police Department for National Night Out

Did you know that Tuesday, August 6, is National Night Out? One the first Tuesday in August everyone is invited to get out and join local law enforcement and public safety personnel and other first responders for block parties where you can learn about safety and crime prevention, and meet your neighbors. These family-friendly events are happening at locations throughout Marin County. All are free of charge.

Here's where you can find a National Night Out celebration in your community this Tuesday:

• Novato Police Department
  Pocket Park, 950 7th Street 94945: 6–8 pm
  Novato's National Night Out celebration features inflatables, food, activities, and giveaways. Event details
• Central Marin Police Authority
  Menke Park, Redwood and Corte Madera Avenues, Corte Madera 94925: 5–8 pm
  San Anselmo Police Station, 525 San Anselmo Avenue, San Anselmo 94960: 5–8 pm
  Meet CMPA officers as well as personnel from the CHP and the Central Marin and Ross Valley Fire Departments. There will be games for kids, the opportunity to see police and fire vehicles up close, and free hot dogs. Event details
• Mill Valley Police Department
  Depot Plaza, Mill Valley 94941: 5–8 pm
  The Mill Valley Police Department will host an event in the Depot Plaza in downtown Mill Valley. Officers will be grilling hot dogs and there will be games, a bicycle rodeo, and meet and greets with Mill Valley police and fire department personnel. Event details
