Marin County Parks Go Fee-Free Starting July 1!

McNears Beach San Rafael

Just in time for summer family fun, Marin County parks go fee free starting Saturday, July 1, 2023! All parks that require a parking fee for entry — Stafford Lake Park in Novato, McNears Beach Park in San Rafael, and Paradise Beach Park in Tiburon — will now be free for all thanks to the Marin County Board of Supervisors and Measure A. These parks normally require a $5 per car entry fee.

All three parks are fantastic destinations for a fun family outing, and offer great spots for picnicking, large gatherings, fishing, kite flying, or just lounging around and soaking in some great weather. At McNears and Paradise, visitors can even kayak, paddleboard, or canoe on San Francisco Bay. Stafford Lake Park features a disc golf course, Marin's only off-road bike park, hiking trails, a playground, and even hammocks to relax in.

In addition, the Black Point Boat Launch in Novato and the Miller Boat Launch in Marshall will also be free.
