All Weekend
- Bring the kids to the Kiddo! Family Carnival in Mill Valley for rides, games, food, and more. Friday–Monday, times vary depending on day.
- Pick your own organic cherries at Dwelley Family Farms' orchards in the East Bay town of Brentwood, Saturday & Sunday, 8:30 am–4 pm.
- Spin and play at the new Los Trompos interactive art instillation at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, Saturday–Monday, 9 am–4 pm.
- Vist the larger than life Bugs exhibit at the Cal Academy in Golden Gate Park, Saturday, 9:30 am–5 pm & Sunday, 11 am– 5 pm.
- Splash and play at the water park at Spring Lake Regional Park in Santa Rosa, Saturday–Monday, 10:30 am–5 pm.
- Celebrate and sample Greek culture at the annual Marin Greek Festival in Novato, Saturday & Sunday, 11 am–9 pm.
Saturday, May 28
- Learn about wildfire prevention and enjoy live music and food at the first ever Ember Stomp festival at Marin Center, Saturday, 11 am–5 pm.
- Head out to Paradise Beach Park in Tiburon to learn how to pier fish with Marin Parks rangers, Saturday, 11 am–1 pm.
- The Lark Drive-In is back with a summer of fun outdoor movies! This Saturday: Raiders of the Lost Ark, 9 pm.
Sunday, May 29
- Enjoy great food and live music at the Muir Beach Volunteer Fireman's BBQ. Sunday, noon–5 pm.
- Experience the song and spectacle of the 109th Mountain Play with the Broadway classic Hello, Dolly! Sunday, 2 pm.
- Build a sand castle and picnic at a local Marin Country beach.
Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day)
- Start off Memorial Day with a volunteer firefighters' pancake breakfast in front of Mill Valley City Hall. Monday, 7–11 am.
- Honor Marin's fallen veterans at a Memorial Day ceremony at Marin Center in San Rafael, 9:30 am
- Swim and play at the Hamiliton Pool in Novato (opening Memorial Day).
- Observe Memorial Day with an old-school parade in downtown Mill Valley. Monday, 10:30 am.
- Visit the Presidio for a Memorial Day commemoration at San Francisco National Cemetery, 10:30 am–12:30 pm
- Come to Mill Valley Community Center for a carnival and Day on the Green with live music and food for sale, Monday, noon–5 pm.
