Note that many of these events require advance registration and some may depend on weather conditions so make sure you check with the organizer before you go.
All Weekend
- Learn about elephant seals at Drakes Beach in Point Reyes National Seashore, Saturday & Sunday, 11 am & 2 pm.
Friday, February 27
- Sing and stomp with musician Emily Bonn at San Anselmo Library, Friday, 10:30–11 am.
- Bring the little ones (0–3) and their family for Itsy Bitsy Storytime, Larkspur Library, 10–10:20 am.
- Bring the kiddos for a free movie night featuring Chicken Run at Tam Valley Community Center, 5:30 pm. RSVP here.

Don't miss this weekend's huge kids' sale, Just Between Friends at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds' Grace Pavilion in Santa Rosa, Friday–Sunday, various times.
Saturday, February 28
- Shop for fresh produce and locally made foods and enjoy live family entertainment at the Marin Country Mart Farmers' Market, Saturday, 9 am–2 pm.
- Celebrate the creative spirit of Sausalito at Sausalito Art & Harbor Days on Saturday,
- Bring the kiddos to see Once Upon A Mattress live on stage at the Presidio Theatre in San Francisco, Saturday, 10:30 am & 1:30 pm.
- Go behind the scenes to learn about making the Peanuts animated series Camp Snoopy and The Snoopy Show at the Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, Saturday, 2 pm.
- Raise a glass to winter wine tasting at Marinwood Community Center (childcare available for ages 3–8), Saturday, 2–5 pm.
Sunday, March 1
- Shop for fresh produce and handcrafted local foods at the Marin Civic Center Farmers Market, Sunday, 8 am–1 pm.
- Take a guided walk around Lake Lagunitas in search of the Mt. Tam Watershed's wildlife, Saturday, 10 am–11:30 am.
- Explore the World War II-era Battery Townsley in the Marin Headlands at its monthly open house, Sunday, noon–4 pm.
