- Join us for an interactive kids' program (music, dance, culture, and storytelling) led by music and dance educator Tina Rogers. For all ages, free. Novato City Hall, 11 am–noon.
- Celebrate Lunar New Year with lion dancing, a free paper lantern craft, and more at Union Square in San Francisco, Saturday 11 am–2 pm.
- Explore the seasonal wetlands at Sonoma State Historic Park, Saturday, 11 am.

- It's Poppy Store's (Larkspur Landing) favorite holiday and to celebrate they're hosting heart-shaped cookie decorating for the littles, 3–6 pm.

- Join Ranger John McConneloug for a guided, family-friendly hike around Lake Lagunitas! Meet at Lake Lagunitas Picnic Tables. 10–11:30 am.
- Take a family walk with Marin Parks naturalists at Roy's Redwoods in San Geronimo, Sunday, 10 am–1 pm.
- Enjoy a day of art and family fun at SFMOMA's Free Family Day, Sunday, 10 am–4 pm.
- Make Valentine's Day arts and crafts at Paradise Beach Park in Tiburon, Sunday, 11 am–1 pm.
- Celebrate the Lunar New Year with lion dance performances at the Cal Academy in Golden Gate Park (included with museum admission), Sunday, noon & 2 pm.
