Keep the Learning Alive with Summer Reading Programs at Marin Libraries

It's hard to believe that the school year is nearly over. You can keep the learning — and fun — alive this summer by participating in your local Marin library's summer reading program. Check each library's website for summer reading events, both virtual and in-person.

Belvedere Tiburon Library

Dig up an adventure this summer at Belvedere Tiburon Library with their Unearth a Story summer reading program, which runs June 15–July 31. Visit the library during these 7 weeks for prizes and swag, as well as fun events and performances. Learn more here.

Play summer reading bingo with the Larkspur Library's summer reading bingo program, and win fabulous prizes! Not sure what to read? Check out their recommended summer reading lists! The program runs from June 2–August 1, and kids, teens, and adults can participate. Learn more here.

Marin County Free Library

Keep reading with Marin County Free Library's Summer programs all ages. Visit your local MCFL branch for fun and educational summer reading events and recommendations for great summer reads. Learn more on their website.

Mill Valley Library

At the Mill Valley Library, children, tweens, and teens can join in on their Read Around the World summer reading program, which runs from June 12–August 6. Pick up a reading log from the library and a book of your choice and get started. In addition, there will be fun events for kids and teens Monday–Friday. Learn more on their website.

San Anselmo Library

Visit the San Anselmo Library and get a reading passport starting June 10 as well as a goodie bag and free book just for signing up! Complete all three goals in the Plant a Seed, Read passport and get a certificate for a free book from Town Books. Sausalito Library

Join Sausalito Library each week this summer for a reading program filled with magic, animals, art, storytelling and more. From June 8–August 15, kids, teens, and adults can keep track of their reading progress and earn free books, raffle tickets, and prizes.
