The San Francisco Civic Center Plaza Tree Lighting Returns December 7!

Marin Mommies presents a sponsored shout-out from the San Francisco Civic Center Plaza Holiday Tree Lighting, which takes place on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
The annual Civic Center Plaza Tree Lighting returns December 7, 4-7pm! The event takes place across from an illuminated City Hall in Civic Center Plaza, a wonderful backdrop for a photo; and the full night’s line up led by Boxcar Theatre's Artistic Director Nick A. Olivero features performances by the Tap Dancing Christmas Trees and acapella group Business Casual, among others, with appearances by Christmas VIPs such the Grinch and the man-of-the-hour: Santa! Also expect “snow” flurries!
Another Planet Entertainment and the San Francisco Police Foundation, along with the Civic Center Community Benefit District, will lead a toy giveaway at the event for the first 400 children 12-and-under. There will also be holiday-themed arts-and-craft activities (Card and gift tag making! A playful snow station! Ornament crafting! DIY wrapping paper!) with SF Etsy in the Makers Village, along with a book giveaway from the San Francisco Public Library. Festive bites will be available for purchase, along with a full bar featuring seasonal favorites from Assembly Cafe & Beer Garden!
The event will begin promptly at 4 p.m. The lighting of Civic Center Plaza’s 50-foot noble fir by Mayor London Breed will take place at 5:20 p.m.
