Summer Camp Adventure in Sausalito

Marin Mommies presents a sponsored shout-out from Call of the Sea.
Call of the Sea’s summer camp, for ages 8-13, features a week of adventuring on boats large and small. Campers sail and learn about teamwork and seamanship on the 82-foot schooner Seaward, the 132-foot brigantine Matthew Turner, and 12-foot Pelican sailing dinghies. Their playground is San Francisco Bay and the grounds of the Bay Model Visitor Center in Sausalito.
In addition to sailing, a day’s activities may include: making model boats or flags, studying science by observing marine life in the water and under the pier, seeing whales, seals and harbor porpoises, fishing, exploring Angel Island, beach time and fun games. With a ratio of one counselor to 6 campers, and additional sailing crew, campers receive high quality, personal attention ensuring they are involved and able to participate in activities at the level they are comfortable with.
One parent said “The staff were beyond thoughtful, always going the extra mile to make sure that the children were comfortable and happy.”
