12 Fun Things to Do This Spring with Kids 5 and Under

Keep the little ones busy this spring! We've put together a list of 12 terrific spring activities and outings in Marin and the San Francisco Bay Area specially selected for families with kids 5 and under. From singing with the animals to taking a toddler museum tour, there's something here for everyone. Some of these events require fees and reservations; check their websites for more info.

1. Take a train ride, meet the animals, and enjoy the rides at Sonoma TrainTown.
2. Sing and dance at Music Time with Megan (ages 2–5) at Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross, Thursdays through May 29, 9:30–10 am.
3. Get creative at Bay Area Discovery Museum's Big Art Weekend, Saturday & Sunday, March 22–23.
4. Come face-to-fang with 13 life-size animatronic dinosaurs at Dino Days at the Cal Academy of Sciences.
5. Bring the little ones to sing, dance, and meet the lambs at Windrush Farm in Petaluma, March 27–April 4, times vary. Reserve your spot.
6. Bring the kiddos to the Mill Valley Spring Faire featuring a toddler zone, activities, and crafts, Saturday, March 29.
7. Have breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Tilden Park Merry Go Round (April 6, 13 & 14) and then feed the animals at the Little Farm in Berkeley.
8. Meet the animals, visit the Children's Zoo, and go on a train ride through the Outback at the Oakland Zoo.
9. Join in on the spring fun at Bunny Weekend at Children's Fairyland in Oakland, Saturday & Sunday, April 19 & 20.
10. Head to Sausalito for an Easter parade, egg hunt, live music and bonnet contest, Saturday, April 19, 10 am.
11. Experience life on the farm at Slide Ranch's Spring Fling on Saturday, May 3, Muir Beach.
