Here's our weekly list of 15 fun things to do with the kids this week, March 8–14. From International Women's Day and science to aquariums and art, there's something for everyone.

Keep in mind that many of these activities require advance registration, so check the organizer's website before you attend. If you have something fun you'd like to share, please let us know and we'll consider it for next week's list!

  1. Learn about International Women's Day, celebrating women all over the world.
  2. Learn about rabbits with online Pint-Size Storytime presented by the San Rafael Public Library.
  3. Reserve your tickets to visit the de Young Museum in San Francisco.
  4. Make a batch of yummy meyer lemon bars.
  5. Read one of these award winning books with your kids.
  6. Watch the grizzly bears swim and play on the live cam at the Oakland Zoo.
  7. Drop-in for some outdoor Music Time with Megan, Wednesday–Friday at various locations throughout Marin.
  8. Join Catherine for songs and stories at Preschool Storytime at the Belvedere Tiburon Library's YouTube channel.
  9. Have the kids help make a pot of tasty chicken pozole verde.
  10. The Sausalito Library presents Online Stories and Songs: Bear Has a Story to Tell.
  11. Vist the 20,000 marine animals at San Francisco's Aquarium of the Bay at Pier 39.

  13. Spring's free virtual North Bay Science Discovery Day, taking place on Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm.
  14. Explore the night sky at the Robert Ferguson Observatory at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, Saturday, 7 and 8 pm
  15. San Francisco's Exploratorium celebrates the 34th Pi Day, an annual Celebrate of the mathematical constant and never-ending number, Sunday, 1:15–2 pm.
