15 Fun Things to do With the Kids the Week of June 1

Here's our weekly list of 15 fun events and activities — some virtual, some not — for families to do online. From live animal cams and virtual moon exploration to art projects and cooking classes, there is something for everyone.
Keep in mind that some of these activities require advance registration, so check the organizer's website before you attend. If you have something fun you'd like to share, please let us know and we'll consider it for next week's list!
- Explore an easy mountain bike trail with the kids in Marin.
- Sunrise Jam Virtual Family Concert with Megan Schoenbohm, Daily, 8:30 am and 9:30 am.
- Explore the solar system with NASA Science.
- Join Novato Police Department for Books 'N Badges storytime, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 am.
- Make a fresh batch of delicious homemade cinnamon rolls.
- Submit your creation in a weekly virtual competition from the Marin County Fair.
- Print and color an awesome outer space-themed Peanuts coloring sheet.
- Get ready for online hands-on DIY fun at Family Maker Camp.
- Read aloud with the animated storybook, The Very Quite Cricket by Eric Carle.
- Enjoy a virtual storytime with the California Parks: Kai's Journey to Gold Mountain" at Angel Island, Wednesday, 9–10 am.
- Build your own bubbles and create your own DIY wands in this fun activity from the Bay Area Discovery Museum.
- Join Cucu's Playhouse for interactive live-streaming music & movement in Spanish, various times 5 days a week (individual classes $9).
- Cool off with homemade strawberry yogurt sorbet.
- Learn how create special LEGO projects with Play-Well, Facebook Live, Monday–Friday, 10 am.
