Fall Family Fun at Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay

A visit to the pumpkin patch at Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay has been a fall family tradition for generations of Bay Area residents. A fixture in Half Moon Bay since 1942, Lemos Family Farm is open all year round but is especially fun in the fall, when you can combine it with some of the other seasonal attractions in the area, like the numerous other pumpkin farms and patches and the annual Pumpkin Festival.

Lemos Farm is more of a farm-themed amusement park than an actual farm, but there's plenty of authentic farm fun to be had. It's one of those places that will take you back to when you were a kid, since it probably hasn't changed much since then. It's so fun to see the kids explore and experience things that you loved when you were that age! The farm is clean and compact, with lots of places to sit and relax, enjoy a bite to eat, or take advantage of an awesome family photo op.

There's a lot to do here: ride the train through an Old West town, take a hay ride, feed the farm animals in the petting zoo, ride a pony, explore the haunted house, play in a bounce house or giant inflatable slide, mine for gems, try pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream, and other treats, and more. And of course, starting every September, you can pick the perfect pumpkin from their pumpkin patch, too. They also offer outdoor goat yoga classes (yes, goat yoga) for ages 5 and above.

While Lemos Farm is a fall tradition for many families, it's open all year, with different attractions and activities depending on the season. During the holidays you can experience a cozy winter-themed farm with Christmas trees for sale and there's an epic Easter egg hunt in the spring. Check their website for events and hours. Lemos Farm is also a favorite place to hold a party, and they offer both kids's birthday parties and goat yoga parties.
