Keep the kiddos busy! Here's our list of fun things to do with the kids for the week of March 7–13, 2022. We've broken it down day-by-day with suggestions for activities, outings, events, and more that you can use to help plan out your week.
Monday, March 7
- Drop in for Tot's Open Gym for ages 0–4 at the Fairfax Pavilion, Monday, 9:30–11:30 am.
- Take a family hike at Mount Burdell Open Space Preserve in Novato.
- Learn about Super Seals at the Marine Mammal Center's Marine Mammal Monday, online on Monday, 4 pm.
- Make a batch of of three-cheese mac and cheese with cauliflower.
Tuesday, March 8
- Move and play at a Jumping Jacks class at San Rafael Community Center, Tuesday, 9:30 and 11 am.

Play, climb and explore San Anselmo's Memorial Park.
- Have a fun tea party! Make a batch of English-style scones for a proper afternoon tea.
- Come sing, dance, jump, and play with musician Emily Bonn in this drop-in music and movement group for preschoolers. Outdoor amphitheater, behind Mill Valley Library, 10:15–10:45 am.
Run, climb and play at the new outdoor playspace, Wander Woods at the California Academy of Sciences.
Wednesday, March 9
- Explore the new Gumnut Grove at the Bay Area Discovey Museum in Sausalito Wednesday–Sunday, 9 am– 4pm.
- Make your own silly putty with PBS Kids.
- Check out the California Academy of Sciences' new outdoor playspace, Wander Woods, open daily 9 am–5 pm.
- Join Vanessa of the Larkspur Library for live online storytime, Wednesdays & Fridays, 11:30 am.
Thursday, March 10
- Shop for fresh produce at the Thursday's Marin Farmers Market, Marin Veteran's Memorial parking lot, 8 am–1 pm.
- Visit WildCare's Animal Ambassadors in their courtyard. Open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 10 am–2 pm.
- Come to Copperfields Books at Marin Country Mart for a free outdoor storytime, Thursday, 11 am.
Take an excursion train ride along the river in Old Sacramento.
Friday, March 11

Reserve your spot for Power Play indoor gymnastics (for ages 1–2 years) at Cal Star Gymnastics in Novato. 9:30–10:30 am.
- Join Iris for an outdoor storytime with books, songs and movement, Fairfax Library (outdoors), 10–10:45 am.
