Get Your Tickets Now for This Year's Mountain Play: Grease

Grease Mountain Play

The Mountain Play, the San Francisco Bay Area's most magical outdoor theater experience, will present Grease for its 106th season! Performances of this smash hit Broadway musical infused with the sounds of the '50s take place at 2 pm in Mt. Tam's Cushing Memorial Amphitheater on May 19 and 26, and June 2, 8, 9, and 16, 2019. Come be a part of this time-honored Marin County tradition!

As with last year's production of Mamma Mia!, the Mountain Play will host a sing-along performance on Saturday, June 8. Come join the cast in singing rockin' tunes like "Summer Nights", "Greased Lightnin'", "Hand Jive", "We Go Together", and more!

Grease tells a story of teenage love, the shifting roles of women, and the rock 'n' roll revolution. Set in a typical post-World War II 1959 high school, Grease tells the tale of Danny, leader of the “greaser” pack, and Sandy, stereotypical good girl, who reconnect after a summer romance. Surrounded by Rydell High’s Burger Palace Boys and Pink Ladies, we witness Danny and Sandy attempt to rekindle their romance despite the challenges of 1950s social expectations and peer pressure.
