- Experience incredible lighted art in a free event in downtown Napa, Friday & Saturday, 6–10 pm, Sunday 6–9 pm.
- Head out to Point Reyes National Seashore for whale and elephant seal watching, Saturday & Sunday, 10 am–4 pm.
- See the musical comedy Once Upon a Mattress live on stage at the Presidio Theatre in San Francisco, Saturday & Sunday, 2 pm.
Friday, January 23
- Bring the little ones for stories, songs, and rhymes at the Larkspur Library storytime, Friday, 10 am.
- Enjoy songs, movement and dancing at Sing and Stomp! at the San Anselmo Library, Friday, 10:30–11 am.

- Shop for fresh produce and locally made foods and enjoy live kids' entertainment at the Marin Country Mart Farmers' Market, Saturday, 9 am–2 pm.
- Sausalito Art and Harbor Days brings brings live music, local makers, and family fun to the waterfront, Saturday, 10 am–3 pm.
- Join the Roving Ranger for a hands-on exploration in the Noticing Lab at Lands End in San Francisco, Saturday, 11 am–2 pm.
- Start the New Year with a nature hike that explores the lower Montini Preserve Trails in Sonoma, Saturday, noon.
- Welcome the Year of the Horse with a Lunar New Year celebration at the Museum of Sonoma County in Santa Rosa, Saturday, noon–4 pm.
- See the classic movie The Princess Bride at a free screening at the Novato Library,. Saturday, 2:30 pm.

- Get your fruits and veggies and handcrafted local foods at the Marin Civic Center Farmers Market, Sunday, 8 am–1 pm.
- See the Studio Ghibli movie My Neighbor Totoro at the Lark Theater in Larkspur, Sunday, 9 am & 4:20 pm (English dub)
- Learn about animals of the arctic at the Marine Mammal Center in the Marin Headlands, Sunday, noon & 2 pm.
- Explore Deer Island Preserve in Novato after dark with Marin Parks rangers, Sunday, 5–6:30 pm.
