15 Fun Things to do With the Kids the Week of July 13–19

Here's our weekly list of 15 fun things to do with the kids this week, July 13–19. From books and bike rides to live online music and farmer's markets, there is something for everyone.

Keep in mind that some of these activities require advance registration, so check the organizer's website before you attend. If you have something fun you'd like to share, please let us know and we'll consider it for next week's list!

  1. Play a round of mini golf at McInnis Park in San Rafael.
  2. Sing along online with Megan Schoenbohm weekdays at 9 am and in person at the Village Child in Novato on weekends at 11 am.
  3. Learn how to draw Woodstock with a live online session, Charles M. Schulz Museum. Monday, July 13, 1–2 pm
  4. Make your own easy homemade ice cream in a jar.
  5. Gather the kiddos for a fun reading of A Parade of Elephants from Sausalito Library.
  6. Enjoy a live, virtual puppet show from Jelly Jam Time and the San Rafael Library, Register in advance. Wednesday, July 15, 10:30–11 am.
  7. Take the kiddos kayaking on a local bay or waterway.
  8. Join in on a wild imaginative music adventure for the whole family, San Anselmo Library, Wednesday, July 15, 1 pm. Register by emailing: jwaskey@townofsananselmo.org.
  9. Pick-up pottery painting and art kits to go at Studio 4 Art.
  10. Make your reservations to visit the San Francisco Zoo, reopening Wednesday, July 15.
  11. Get informed, engaged, and inspired with Stern Grove's free music programs for kids.
  12. Pick up some summer fair food at the Marin County Fair Food Drive-Thru, Friday, July 17–19, 11 am to 8 pm.
  13. Celebrate the 65th birthday of Disneyland at a free online Community Day from the Walt Disney Family Musuem, Friday, July 17.
  14. See Honey, I Shrunk the Kids with North Bay Mobile Drive-In, Saturday, July 18, 9 pm
  15. Visit Green String Farm in Petaluma for fresh summer produce, including peaches and nectarines.
