20 Free Things to Do with Bay Area Kids in March

It's almost March, and you don't have to break the bank to have a great time with the kiddos! Here are 20 free activities and outings in Marin and the Bay Area this month. Keep in mind some of these activities require advance registration, so check before you go.

1. Enjoy free admission in honor of comics great Will Eisner at the Charles M. Schulz Museum, Santa Rosa Sunday, March 1, 10 am–5 pm.
2. It's a free day at the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, Tuesday, March 3, 10 am–4 pm.
3. Get hands-on at the Bay Area Discovery Museum free day, Sausalito, Wednesday, March 4, 10 am–4 pm.
4. Bring the kiddos for Mart Littles Music with Mr. Christopher every Wednesday in March, front of Poppy store, Marin Country Mart, Larkspur, 10:30–11:15 am.
5. Drop-in to feed the animals and tuck them in for the night at the Good Night Farm at Tilden Nature Area. Meet at the pig pen, Friday, March 6, 3:30–4 pm.
6. Get hands-on with STEM activities at the North Bay Science Discovery Day at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, Saturday, March 7, 10 am–4 pm.
7. Learn about frogs, toads, salamanders on a Family Walk with Marin Parks naturalists at Indian Valley Preserve in Novato, Sunday, March 8, 10 am–1 pm.

10. It's a free day at the SF Botanical Garden, and their Bean Sprouts Family Days (10–11 am) for hands-on activities for kids, Tuesday, March 10, 7:30–4 pm.
11. Explore the visitor center, visit the horses, take a hike and have a picnic in Bear Valley at Point Reyes National Seashore.
12. Bring the family to Giants Fan Fest for an Open House and meet-and-greet with Giants Alumni, Oracle Park, SF, Saturday, March 14, 10 am to 3 pm.
