Keep the kiddos busy! Here's our list of fun things to do with the kids for this week of April 18–24.
Monday, April 18
- Swing, climb and picnic at the expansive lawn are at Hauke Park in Mill Valley.
- Bring the little ones to outdoor storytime for babies and toddlers on the lawn, San Anselmo Library, 10:30–11 am.
- Make a fun and easy mini terrarium in a recycled glass container and decorate it with found materials.
Tuesday, April 19
- Visit WildCare's courtyard in San Rafael and meet their Animal Ambassadors, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, 9:30 am–1 pm

Enjoy books, songs, rhymes, movement, and puppets at outdoor storytime in the park, Robin Sweeny Park, Sausalito, Tuesday, 10–10:30 am.
- Have the kiddos help start a stawberry patch in your garden.
Create this mini terrarium craft to celebrate Earth Day.
Wednesday, April 20
- Explore the new Gumnut Grove at the Bay Area Discovey Museum in Sausalito Wednesday–Sunday, 9 am– 4pm.
- Explore the 34-acre UC Berkeley Botanical Garden (reservations required) and then head up to the Lawerence Hall of Science (reservations required) for some hands-on fun.
- Make a batch of of three-cheese mac and cheese with cauliflower.
Thursday, April 21
- Check out the California Academy of Sciences' new outdoor playspace, Wander Woods, open daily 9 am–5 pm.
- Here are a few of our favorite local outdoor adventures that are perfect for families with small kids.

Discovery Days, Bay Area Science Festival is a free hands-on event at Oracle Park in San Francisco, Sunday, 11 am–4 pm.
Friday, April 22
- Go on an Earth Day scavenger hunt with the kiddos this week. Get our fun scavenger hunt printable here.
- Join in a local cleanup project in honor of Earth Day.
- Visit the San Francisco Zoo to celebrate Earth Day and learn about local songbirds, Friday–Sunday, 10 am–5 pm.
Saturday & Sunday, April 23 & 24
- Enjoy apple juice with a ranger at the McInnis Park skate park in San Rafael, Saturday, 10 am–noon.
- Experience all things Petaluma at the 2022 Butter & Egg Days parade and festival, Saturday, 10 am–5 pm.
- Participate in a beach cleanup and make some art at Stinson Beach for Earth Day, Saturday, 10:30 am–3:30 pm.
- Get creative at Big Art Weekend at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, Saturday & Sunday, 12:30 pm time slots only. Register here.
- Celebrate Earth Day at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa by making crafts out of recycled materials, Saturday, 11 am–3 pm.
- Take an Earth Day botanical adventure at the UC Botanical Garden in Berkeley, Saturday, noon–3 pm.
- Lend a hand at Muir Woods National Monument in Mill Valley in honor of Earth Day, Sunday 8:30 am–noon
- Join Rancho Compasión in Nicasio for a celebration of Mother Earth with kids' music by Charity Kahn and vegan food, Sunday, 10 am–1 pm.
