Monday, April 4
- Play and learn at the Bay Area Discovery Museum — open all week for Spring Break, 9 am–4 pm.
- Take an overnight trip to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and spend a day going on the rides and playing at the beach.
- Get an inside look at the Marine Mammal Center's rescue efforts with Marine Mammal Monday, online, 4 pm
Tuesday, April 5
- Look for wildflowers and wildlife on a spring family hike in Marin.
- Take a day trip down to the Monterey Bay Aquarium to visit sea otters, penguins, sharks and more. Advance tickets required.
- Visit the de Young or Legion of Honor museums for free on the first Tuesday of the month.
Enjoy the rides at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Wednesday, April 6
- Build a sand castle and play along Rodeo Beach in the Marin Headlands.
- Easter is less than 2 weeks away! Get creative with these fun watercolor Easter eggs.
- Bring a blanket and join Mill Valley Librarian Lauren for outdoor storytime and songs, Wednesdays, 10:15 am, Amphitheater stage behind the Library.
Thursday, April 7
- Play with LEGOs and games or create crafts at the Point Reyes Library, Thursday, 8–9 am.
- Get some organic strawberries and the Thursday Marin Farmers' Market (8 am–1 pm) and make these delicious strawberry shortcakes.
- Explore historic aircraft and enjoy a hot dog lunch at the Pacific Coast Air Museum in Santa Rosa, Thursday, 11:30 am–1:30 pm
Ride the minature train, feed the animals and ride the carousel at Sonoma Traintown Railroad, Saturday & Sunday, 10 am– 4pm.
Friday, April 8
- Pack a picnic, take a hike, visit the horses and stop in at the Bear Valley Visitor Center at Point Reyes National Seashore.
- Play a round of mini golf at McInnis Park's Swing-n-Putt in San Rafael.
- Explore Sonoma Valley for family-friendly wineries, hikes, historic sites, and more.
Saturday & Sunday, April 9 & 10
- Sing along children's entertainer Megan Schoenbohm and shop at Saturday's Marin Country Mart farmers market, Larkspur Landing, Saturday 9:30–10:30 am.
- Learn about China Camp State Park's birds in a Junior Ranger program, Saturday, 10 am–noon.
- Explore the gardens at Cornerstone Sonoma and then head over to Sonoma Traintown Railroad.
- Hunt for Easter eggs and enjoy kids' activities with the Petaluma Mothers Club, Saturday, 11 am–1 pm.
- See Disney's The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at the awesome theater at the Walt Disney Family Museum in the Presidio, Saturday & Sunday, 11 am
- Meet cartoonist Dana Simpson (Phoebe and Her Unicorn) at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, Saturday, 1 pm.
- Take a springtime Hip Hoppin’ Historic Tram Tour at Angel Island State Park, Saturday & Sunday, 1 pm.
- Browse for treasures and enjoy live music at the outdoor French antiques market at Marin Center in San Rafael, Sunday, 9 am–3 pm.
