- Head out to Point Reyes National Seashore for whale and elephant seal watching, Saturday & Sunday, 10 am–4 pm.
- Take a family waterfall hike to Buck Gulch Falls in Novato (AKA the Fairway Waterfall).
- Learn about elephant seals at Drakes Beach in Point Reyes National Seashore, Saturday & Sunday, 11 am & 2 pm.
- Experience incredible lighted art in a free event in downtown Napa, Saturday, 6–10 pm, Sunday 6–9 pm.

- Come join the San Francisco Amateur Astronomers for free public stargazing at Presidio Tunnel Tops in San Francisco, Saturday, 5:20–8:20 pm.
- Experience after-hours fun at the Charles M. Schulz Museum's "Kids Night at the Museum: At the Movies!," Saturday, 5:30–9 pm.
Sunday, January 21
- Get your fruits and veggies and handcrafted local foods at the Marin Civic Center Farmers Market, Sunday, 8 am–1 pm.
- The Rock and Roll Playhouse plays the music of Phish + more for kids at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, Sunday, 11:30 am.
