Keep the kiddos busy! Here's out list of fun things to do with the kids for the week of August 30–September 6, including Labor Day weekend. We've broken it down day-by-day with suggestions for activities, outings, events, and more that you can use to help plan out your week.
Keep in mind that some of these activities require advance registration, so check the organizer's website before you attend. If you have something fun you'd like to share, please let us know and we'll consider it for next week's list!
Monday, August 30
- Head to Playland indoor bounce house gym in Sausalito for free play. Registration required, 10:30 am–noon
- Go swing, climb and play at Piper Park in Larkspur.

- Make a batch of of three-cheese mac and cheese with cauliflower.
Tuesday, August 31
- Explore the San Francisco Botanical Garden at Bean Sprouts Family Days, Tuesday & Thursday, 10 am–noon.
- Picnic, hike, and visit the chickens, goats, sheep, and bees at Slide Ranch in Muir Beach, open daily.
- Learn 10 cool things about sharks online with the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
- Shop for fresh produce at this week's Novato Community Farmer's Market, Tuesday, 4–8 pm.
Wednesday, September 1
- Reserve your spot at The Gravity Vault Marin indoor rock climbing gym in San Rafael, 9 am–6 pm.
- Bring your egg shakers and instruments to jam along wirth children's entertainer Megan Schoenbohm at the Civic Center in San Rafael (next to the playground), 10:30–11 am or at Sports Basement in Novato, 11:30 am–noon.
- Bring a blanket and join Mill Valley Librarian Lauren for outdoor storytime and songs, Wednesdays, 10:15 am, Amphitheater stage behind the Library.
