Keep the kiddos busy! Here's out list of fun things to do with the kids for the week of January 24–30. We've broken it down day-by-day with suggestions for activities, outings, events, and more that you can use to help plan out your week.
Monday, January 24
- Bring the little ones for songs, rhymes and stories at outdoor storytime on the lawn with the San Anselmo Library, Monday, 10:30–11 am.
- Make your own easy pink and red play dough for Valentine's fun!
- Make a pot of healthy slow-cooker white bean soup with ham.
Tuesday, January 25
- Take the kiddos to play and burn off some energy at Hal Brown Park at Creekside in Greenbrae. Bring a picnic too!
- Check out some of our favorite Valentine's Day books for kids at the library.
- Here are a few of our favorite local outdoor adventures that are perfect for families with small kids.

Wednesday, January 26
- Join Cucu's Playhouse for interactive live-streaming music and movement in Spanish, Wednesday, 8 am & 10:30 am.
- Join Vanessa of the Larkspur Library for live online storytime, Wednesdays & Fridays, 11:30 am.
- Calling all Harry Potter fans! Learn how to make these awesome Hogwarts-themed bracelets.
Thursday, January 27
- Shop for fresh produce at the Thursday's Marin Farmers Market, Marin Veteran's Memorial parking lot, 8 am–1 pm.
- Gather at the log outside Copperfields Books in Marin Country Mart for outdoor storyime, Thursday, 11 am–noon.
- Create a beautiful Valentine's Day tissue wreath.
Visit the elephant seals at Chimney Rock in Pt. Reyes.
Friday, January 28
- Climb, run and explore Gumnut Grove at the Bay Area Discovey Museum, Sausalito, Wednesday–Sunday, 9 am–4 pm. Reserve tickets here.
- Play-WEll TEKnologies in San Anselmo offers drop-in LEGO play for all ages, Friday, 12–5:30 pm.
- Explore eucalyptus grove in the Presidio and try to balance on the curvy line of branches (Andy Goldsworthy's Wood Line) tucked away in the forest.
Saturday & Sunday, January 29 & 30
- Take a ride at Sonoma TrainTown where you can feed the animals and ride carnival rides, too, Saturday & Sunday, 10 am–4 pm.
- Hike and explore history at Olompali State Historic Park in Novato.
- Experiecne a virtual Saturday Night Winter Wonderland Magic Show!, 6 pm.
- Head out to Point Reyes National Seashore for whale and elephant seal watching.
- Visit the Oakland Zoo at night for Glowfari, open daily through January 30, 5:30–10 pm.
