- Take a walk along the path or beach at San Francisco Presidio's Crissy Field.
- Celebrate the Year of the Snake and Children's Fairyland's 75th anniversary, Friday–Sunday, 10 am–4 pm.
- See the dazzling winter lights of IlluminOdyssey on its final weekend in San Mateo, Friday–Sunday, 10 am–5 pm.
- Experience incredible lighted art in a free event in downtown Napa, Friday & Saturday, 6–10 pm, Sunday 6–9 pm.
- Welcome the Year of the Snake at the SF Zoo's Lunar New Year celebration — get free admission if you were born during the Year of the Snake (with ID), Saturday & Sunday, 10 am–4 pm.
- Head out to Point Reyes National Seashore for whale and elephant seal watching, Saturday & Sunday, 10 am–4 pm.
- Shop for Lunar New Year supplies, enjoy entertainment, and more at the Chinatown Flower Market Fair, Saturday, 10 am–6 pm & Sunday, 9 am–6 pm.
Friday, January 24
- Enjoy songs, movement and dancing at Sing and Stomp! at the San Anselmo Library, Friday, 10:30–11 am.
- Discover the night sky and learn about Mars at Robert Ferguson Observatory at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park in Kenwood, Friday, 7–9:30 pm.
Hike and picnic at Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen.
Saturday, January 25
- Shop for fresh produce and locally made foods and enjoy live kids' entertainment at the Marin Country Mart Farmers' Market, Saturday, 9 am–2 pm.
- Welcome the Year of the Snake with a Lunar New Year celebration at the Children's Museum of Sonoma County, Saturday, 10 am–2 pm.

- Hike and picnic at Jack London Historic Park in Glen Ellen this weekend.
- Celebrate Lunar New Year with the Marin Chinese Cultural Association's Lion Dance Team, Downtown San Anselmo, Town Plaza, 11–11:30 am.
- Explore Kreole and Zydeco music with accordion virtuoso Andre Thierry at Novato Library, Saturday, 11 am–noon.
- Celebrate Seollal, the Korean Lunar New Year, with activities, crafts, demonstrations, and food, in San Francisco, Saturday, 11 am.
- Create monumental sand art with friends and family on Ocean Beach in San Francisco, Saturday, 1:30–3:30 pm.
- Come celebrate the Year of the Snake with a Lion Dancing performance with Jing Mo Athletic Association, Marina Library, back courtyard, 3–3:30 pm.
