Here's our weekly list of 15 fun things to do with the kids this week, January 25–31. From craft ideas and recipes to family hikes and whale watching, there's something for everyone.

Keep in mind that many of these activities require advance registration, so check the organizer's website before you attend. If you have something fun you'd like to share, please let us know and we'll consider it for next week's list!

  1. Make your own easy pink and red play dough for Valentine's fun!
  2. Make a fresh batch of delicious gluten-free blueberry oatmeal breakfast muffins.
  3. Learn about bees with online Pint-Size Storytime present by the San Rafael Public Library.
  4. Experience some virtual Monday Night Novato Magic with magician Mike Della Penna. Monday, 6 pm.
  5. Make a pot of delicious slow cooker chili.
  6. Create a beautiful Valentine's Day tissue wreath.
  7. Visit Monterey Bay Aquarium's cool sea otter cam with live narrated feedings daily at 1:30 pm.
  8. Join the Exploratorium for live online Storytime Science for Kids, Wednesday, 1 pm.
  9. Learn how to draw Charlie Brown with the Charles M. Schulz Museum.
  10. Enjoy an online bilingual dance and movement class for ages 1–5 from the West Marin Libraries. Thursday, 3–4 pm
  11. Bonjour! Gather the little ones for virtual French Storytime with Emilia with Belvedere Tiburon Library.
  12. Take a easy family waterfall hike to Cascade Falls in Mill Valley.
  13. Make a LED snowflake plushie online with the Fairfax and South Novato Libraries (for ages 10–18). Friday, 6–7 pm.
  14. Head out to Point Reyes National Seashore for whale and elephant seal watching.
