Keep the kiddos busy! Here's out list of fun things to do with the kids for the week of June 7–13. We've broken it down day-by-day with suggestions for activities, outings, events, and more that you can use to help plan out your week.
Keep in mind that some of these activities require advance registration, so check the organizer's website before you attend. If you have something fun you'd like to share, please let us know and we'll consider it for next week's list!
Monday, June 7
- Make a batch of delicious banana, walnut and chocolate chip muffins.
- Reserve your spot for indoor fun at Playland, Saualito: bounce houses, fun play cars, and more! 10:30 am–12 pm, Mondays, Fridays, & Saturdays.
- Go swing, climb and play at Piper Park in Larkspur.
- Make your own easy Chinese cashew chicken over rice.
Tuesday, June 8
- Make your reservation to swim and splash at the Hamilton Community Pool in Novato
- Visit the San Francisco Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park for free.
- Visit the animals and ride the Little Puffer train at the San Francisco Zoo. Reserve your spot now.
- Shop for fresh produce at this week's Novato Community Farmer's Market, Tuesday, 4–8 pm.
Wednesday, June 9
- Join Vanessa of the Larkspur Library for live storytime, Wednesdays & Fridays, 11:30 am.
- Chill in the sun & play in the sand at the Bay Area Discovery Museum's new beach. Wednesday–Monday, 9 am–4 pm.
- Drop-in for some outdoor Music Time with Megan, Wednesday–Friday at various locations throughout Marin.
Thursday, June 10
- Mother Goose with Iris online offers rhymes, songs, and stories for preschool and toddlers, presented by Marin County Library.
- Play in the park, picnic, and ride the carousel at the Golden Gate Park Playground in San Francisco.
- Dine out with the family and enjoy a meal under the lights downtown San Rafael, Thursdays & Fridays, 5–9 pm.
Friday, June 11
- Make your own easy homemade ice cream in a jar.
- Take a drive out to the Marin Headlands for a hike or beach fun.
- Get ready for live Broadway Under the Stars drive-in performances at BR Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen June 11–13.
Saturday, June 12
- Bring the kiddos for live Music Time with Megan at the Marin Country Mart this Saturday, 9:30–10:30 am.
- Summer Reading Program fun with Cascada de Flores & their interactive live show filled with music and dance! Saturday, 11 am. Register here via Zoom.
- Find out why you Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. Performances at 10 am and noon.
- Head to the Lark Drive-In at the Village at Corte Madera for a screening of Pixar's Coco, 9 pm.
Sunday, June 13
- Stroll the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and go on some of their iconic rides like the Looff Carousel and Giant Dipper (advance reservations required for rides).
- Go for a scenic family wetlands hike and play a round of minature golf at McInnis Park (reservations are required for golf).
- Get some organic strawberries at Sunday's Civic Center, Marin Farmers Market and make a batch of strawberry Rhubarb Crumble.
